Facilities and Locations

Our faculty members enjoy the advantage of multiple state-of-the-art facilities including:

UofL Healthcare Outpatient Center

University Surgical Associates

University of Louisville Hospital Vascular division faculty members direct the care of patients with both arterial and venous diseases at ULH. Standard open procedures are performed in a dedicated, new vascular operating room – Room 15 of the main hospital and in the University of Louisville Physicians Outpatient Building. Diagnostic and therapeutic endovascular procedures are performed in the vascular radiology suite where there are three interventional suites, two of which include bi-plane imaging and are completely equipped for the provision of general anesthesia and operative exposures.

  • Fully equipped and stocked for endovascular and hybrid techniques

Interventional Radiology Suites

  • Three IR suites, including two bi-plane and anesthesia ready rooms

Computerized Tomography and MRI

  • University of Louisville Hospital offers emergency CT and MR coverage with state-of-the-art three-dimensional renderings of images

Critical Care Units

  • Multiple specialized critical care units, covered by on-site critical care specialists 24/7/365

Norton Hospital Downtown

Norton Hospital

Norton Hospital is a comprehensive hospital in which the faculty members enjoy the use of a completely new, state-of-the-art vascular interventional suite with integrated intravascular ultrasound capabilities. The vascular faculty centralizes major venous emergency care requiring multimodality therapy for restoration of venous flow at this facility because of the unique capabilities centered there. Norton Hospital has a hybrid operating room for major endovascular emergencies, as well.


Jewish Hospital

Jewish Hospital

Jewish Hospital is a comprehensive, tertiary-care hospital located in close proximity to ULH and Norton Hospital. Jewish Hospital has a highly developed cardiovascular program that includes a hybrid endovascular suite. Faculty of the vascular division actively admit patients to Jewish Hospital and provide consultative services there. A hybrid suite is available for endovascular procedures.

The Cardiovascular Innovation Institute

The Cardiovascular Innovation Institute is a partnership of the University of Louisville and Jewish Hospital that brings new treatments for cardiovascular disease from the laboratory bench to the patient bedside.
