University Cardiothoracic Surgical Associates (UCSA) is committed to delivering excellent clinical care and advanced medical and scientific treatments and procedures to all its patients. UCSA, along with its multi-disciplinary team of board-certified physician assistants, nurses, and medical assistants, have pioneered major advancements in cardiothoracic surgery in the region, such as the area’s first heart transplant, double lung transplant, mechanical bridge to transplant, total replacement heart (AbioCor) and minimally invasive surgical options.

Averaging well over 1,600 procedures per year, UCSA physicians are among the most experienced cardiothoracic surgeons in the country.
