The Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at University of Louisville has a long history of excellence. We continue to be the forerunners in cardiac assist devices and have made remarkable developments in laboratory research. The laboratory and research components of our program are working cohesively and are housed in the Cardiovascular Innovation Institute (CII). The numerous research grants and studies that this division is overseeing are clearly paving the way to our mission as being the top cardiovascular research institute.
