The University of Louisville utilizes the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).  All applications must be submitted electronically by November 30th.  We strongly encourage early application as interview slots fills quickly.

   A completed application consists of the following:
   Application/CV
   USMLE-Step I & II
   3 letters of Recommendation
   Current Photo
   Personal Statement
   Medical School Transcript
   Dean's Letter (After November 1st)  

The General Surgery Review Committee will screen all applicants and invitations will be issued. Upon receipt of the invitation, please contact Ms. Molly Burke-Poole or Ms. Meghan Hubbs to arrange an interview.

The 2010-2011 interview dates will be held on:

   Friday, October 29, 2010
   Friday, December 10, 2010
   Friday, January 14, 2011

The interview process begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at approximately 3:00 p.m. Candidates will have 3 one-on-one interviews with General Surgery Faculty and small  group interviews with Dr. Kelly McMasters, Chairman, Department of Surgery. General Surgery Residents will accompany the residency candidates throughout the day and will join them for lunch.
